A chronic bilateral conjunctival inflammation that occurs seasonally during warm weather characterized by photophobia, intense itching,cobblestone papillae in the upper palpebral conjunctiva in the palpebral form and gelatinous nodules corneosclerallimbus in the bulbar form. Syn: vernal conjunctivitis,spring conjunctivitis,spring ophthalmia, vernal catarrh, vernal keratoconjunctivitis
