Adult Dosage

0.5 to 1 Un it/kg0.75 (0.75)24 hourlyIVOnce a day. The dose may be adjusted during stress or in case of major illness or with changes in excersie. IV should be administered under medical supervision for glycemic control with close monitoring of blood glucose and serum potassium to avoid hypoglycemia and hypokalemia.
0.5 to 1 Un it/kg0.75 (0.75)24 hourlySCOnce a day. should be given within 15 minutes before a meal or within 20 minutes after starting a meal. SC Injection should be administered in the abdiminal wall, thigh, or upper arm. To reduce the risk of lipodystrophy, rotate the injection sites within the same region.
