Exemestane
Overview
A leukotriene receptor inhibitor, effective in asthma. It is a selective antagonist of leukotriene D 4 recptor, stimulation of which by circulating leukotrienes is thought to play a role in pathogenesis of asthma. It suppresses both early and late bronchoconstrictor responses to inhaled antigens and irritants.

Zafirlukast is known to interact with other drugs, the details of drug interactions is as follows:
Severity N/A
Theophylline Interaction of Theophylline with Zafirlukast
Erythromycin Interaction of Erythromycin with Zafirlukast
Aspirin Interaction of Aspirin with Zafirlukast
Details: Aspirin increases plasma concentration of leukotriene antagonists (e.g Zafirlukast).
Moderate (Sequence important)
Warfarin (Na) Interaction of Warfarin (Na) with Zafirlukast
Details: Zafirlukast may decrease the metabolism, via CYP isoenzymes, of Warfarin.
Management: Monitor for increased prothrombin time (PT)/effects of Warfarin if zafirlukast is initiated/dose increased, or decreased PT/effects if zafirlukast is discontinued/dose decreased.
These interactions are sometimes beneficial and sometimes may pose threats to life. Always consult your physician for the change of dose regimen or an alternative drug of choice that may strictly be required.
