Herb's Description

Apis mellifica Linn. Exists in the pollen and surface of leaves of many plants, chiefly the wax myrtle. It is extracted by honey bee and used in construction of honey comb. When the honey is extracted, wax is obtained by squeezing or pressing the comb, bleaching by exposure to moisture, air and light and or melting it in hot water and allowing to stand cool. It is insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol
