Oral absorption of Glipizide is found to be 100% . Volume of distribution is found to be 0.14 l/kg and plasma protien binding is >98%. and metabolism is reported complete by Liver. Renal Excretion accounts for >80% and plasma half life is 2.4 hr.

Interaction of Aspirin with Glipizide

Details: Hypoglycemic effect of glipizide may be potentiated by aspirin by stimiulating insulin secretion.
Management: Closely monitor the development of hypoglycaemia.
