Aquilaria agallocha Roxb. is a tree, 60-70 ft long, and 5-8 ft girth, is evergreen
Aquilaria agallocha Roxb.'s Wood, white to pale yellowish white in color. Sound is soft, light, and elastic (weight of air dried Burma wood, 25 Ib per c. ft). Plant is heavier than water, absence of growth rings, medium size to small vessels borne mostly in radial rows of 3-4 and numerous longitudinal interxylary strands of phloem consisting of soft base and some fibres.
