Leaves long petioled, 5 lobed; flowers large, white, solitary, monoecious or dioecious; fruits large, usually bottle or dumb-bell shaped, almost woody when ripe; seeds numerous, long, white, smooth, 1.6-2 cm long, horizontally compressed with marginal groove
