            Herb's Description
        
            Echinops echinatus Roxb.. A pubescent annual, 1-3 ft. high, with branches widely spreading from the base. Leaves alternate, 3-5 inches long, oblong, pinnatifid, spinous, covered with cottony wool beneath. Flower-heads white, compact and globose, upto 2 inches in diameter, involucrate(126). Involucres surrounded by strong white bristles resembling pappus hairs. Pappus short yellowish forming a short cylindric brush above the achenes
